Happy Saturday!

Hi everyone. I think I may have started catching up on my sleep now. My grandmother was in the hospital for 5 days and wow...you just don't get a lot of sleep there. Anyhow she is doing much better.

I was surfing around this morning and found a great giveaway. Dawn's Craft Place, she is really talented, cards and scrap pages. I'm going to have to surf some more over there. I thought I would put a blurb here so you can check it out yourselves and maybe win some goodies.

I went to our LSS crop last night. I made some cute cards for the OWH 50/50 challenge. I've got to learn how to do some assembly line stuff. It takes me forever when I create something new each time. Especially since I'm the slowest crafter ever. I'll try to post some pictures later. Maybe I can spend some time at my desk and continue creating today too.

Good intentions

Well yesterday at Scrappily Ever After was a frosted window challenge. The card that was featured over there by me was a cool new technique that I learned about. My plan was to also post another card with the same theme here. Well that was my good intention.

What really happened is that I ended up in the Emergency room at the hospital. My grandmother who did so well having her surgery got pneumonia. I thought I would have time to post while doing nothing at the hospital and somehow that didn't happen. Oh well, I'm still at the hospital but finally got the computer out.

So without further ado here is my card.

The basic gist of this technique is to stamp with StazOn to the front of a transparency. I used some that I've had that were bought for something else. Once dry on the back side of that image squirt diamond glaze or another similar product. Add one or more colors of Tattered Angels spray ink, drops of alcohol ink or ink refills for stamp pads. Then take wrapping tissue paper and lay on top of glue and ink. Once dry mount on piece of white cardstock. Another way to add some shine to an OWH card is to use tissue that has flecks of glitter. "Of course do not use any glitter that will come off the card when making an OWH card."

So that is a brief overview of the project. I'm sure that there are tutorials out there with a more detailed description or feel free to email me and I'll tell you how I did these.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Thursday everyone! I have had so much fun coloring this stamp. Her name is Willow and she came from 7 kids college fund. I'm having problems trying to keep myself from buying all the great stamps out there.

Plus there are so many great digi stamps. I didn't even realize that one of the images that I printed out to color is from another inspiration team member Yolanda. Check out her blog at Imagine. Make. Share. She has an adorable clown and others. She is going to have to get drawing though so I don't run out of things to color. (hint, hint)

Notice also if you will that I figured out how to make a fancy watermark on my picture. I'm learning this stuff gals, it's just taking me a bit. I'm going to try my hand a blog banner soon. I'll let you know how that comes out.

Anyway here is a card that I made using the Willow stamp. My little bling items came from Big Lots and the dollar bin at Michaels. I'm not at home to check the paper manufacturer. My mom actually looked over and said "hey did you make that out of that ugly paper stack I gave you?" Yep, it sure is and now she might want her ugly paper back. I guess that I'll share with her. ;-)

Scraps challenge at Scrappily Ever After

I'm very impressed and pleased to say that I now have 6 followers.

As you can see I'm not a regular blogger yet. I'm getting there though. Maybe within the next few days I'll be able to post more often. I'm off work until Monday to help take care of my Grandma who is having surgery.

So here is another card that was super simple but I like it. I had a few sheets of this Anna Griffin and I have a number of scraps left of it. I'm going to have to look for some more because it is still one of my favorite Christmas papers.

Until next time.

Under Construction

I had the blog looking quite cute and then I went to look at other templates. Well you can see what happened. LOL

I would like you to stick with me though as I work out the bugs. I'll have some really neat things coming up. I've teamed up with some fantastic ladies over at Scrappily Ever After and you won't want to miss the challenges over there and some extra follow up items that I hope to post here.

So in the mean time here is another colored Copic image that I played around with.
